At Blue Hills Sportsmen’s Club, we are proud to partner with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), a national organization dedicated to promoting safe firearm practices and marksmanship.

Established by Congress in 1903, the CMP fosters the development of shooting sports and responsible firearm ownership through a variety of training programs, competitions, and educational resources.

What is the Civilian Marksmanship Program?

The Civilian Marksmanship Program is a non-profit organization that focuses on training civilians in the safe handling and effective use of firearms, particularly rifles. Its mission is to develop and enhance marksmanship skills for all ages while promoting safe firearm usage and responsible ownership.

The CMP also supports national and international marksmanship competitions, encourages youth participation, and upholds the highest standards of firearm safety.
